Surrounded with kindness, compassion and exemplary care since 2019, Ruth Earl, 109, a former Kingston resident, died peacefully at Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Lake Katrine, NY, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Born January 2, 1917 in New York City, Ruth was the daughter of the late Charles S. Piersall and Mary (Ackley) Piersall, and the widow of Alfred (Bucky) Earl.

In addition to her parents and Bucky, Ruth was predeceased by three sisters: Gladys, Anna and Mildred; two nephews and two nieces. Surviving Ruth are fifty-one nieces and nephews who span four generations.

The writer of this obituary confesses to not knowing enough adjectives to properly express the thanks and gratitude that fills her heart for the care given to Aunt Ruth throughout the last years of her long life.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Hillington Cemetery in Morris, New York where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
