Obituary of Robert B. Swiat

Robert (Bobby) Swiat, 76, of Kingston, passed away suddenly on June 23, 2023 in Kingston. NY. He was born in New York City on November 21, 1946. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Benjamin and Louise. He graduated from Kingston High School and lived most of his childhood and adult life in Kingston, NY. He was an enthusiastic soft ball player who played for the Triangles Soft Ball Team. Robert was a “jack of all trades” who enjoyed exploring all of his career opportunities and in the process, made friends easily and looked forward to spending time with them. He loved to laugh and enjoyed having others laugh with him. Robert was a gentle and kind soul and his determination and independent spirit were always evident. He is survived by a loving family and friends. He was fortunate to have friends like Jill Cowan, a neighbor, who took it upon herself to help guide him through health challenges and would always spend time with him. His teasing nature and sense of humor endeared him to her and continued for years. Our family will be forever grateful to her. He had many struggles with his health since childhood and now is at peace. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kingston.
