Arnold F. Fischer, 79, a life-long resident of Kingston, NY passed away, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born August 14, 1935, he was one of seven children born to the late Frank and Louise (Buley) Fischer. He was also preceded in death by a sister, June Loeffler. Arnold served his country in the US Army. He was retired from the Ulster County Highway Department and had his own tile setting business. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, American Legion Post #150 and was a chauffeur for the local Veteran's hospital van. Arnold is survived by his wife, Joanne (Whipple) Fischer; son, Arnold G. (Karina) Fischer of Kingston; daughters, Joanne (Boomie) Tubbs of Esopus and Arna Jo (Scott) Schwark of Ulster Park; siblings, Ronald (Betty) Fischer of Saugerties, Francis (Josephine) Fischer of Hurley, Joseph (Rosemary) Fischer of Kingston, Terrance (Martha) Fischer of Brockport and Karen (Jerry) Woodvine of Kingston; grandchildren, Sabrina and Christian Fischer, Megan and Westcott Tubbs, Cody and Trevor Schwark; dear friends, Carol and Lynn Pereira, nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday and Friday 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Funeral procession will form 9:45 am Saturday at the funeral home then proceed to St. Mary's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be sung at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
