I was truly sorry to learn of Anne's passing. I remember her well, and with affection. We were friends growing up in Zena. She was close to my sister, and although we were a year apart in school, there was a great pack of us girls who were friends in the neighborhood, including her wonderful sister Joan. We were so lucky to have that time together. She was lovely, smart, good at school, and kind to people. I have many memories of her, and for some reason that includes a conversation we had once about her gold hoop earrings (teenage girl stuff!), which she loved. I don't know why that stuck in my head, but over the years I have thought of her when I wear my gold hoop earrings. I am glad to have known her. Her presence added enjoyment and fun to my teenage years, and I will remember her in my prayers. I wish her family peace and comfort.
