Obituary of Henry Daniel Cragan, Jr.

Henry Daniel Cragan, Jr., 83, of Hurley passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston.

After serving his country in the US Army, he worked at Hudson Cement then later retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie. He was a member of their quarter century club, a NASCAR enthusiast and former member of the Lake Katrine Rod & Gun Club.

Survivors include his sisters, Lucille Kolosky and her husband Jack; Frances P. Cragan; brothers, William A. Cragan;  Thomas M. Cragan and his wife Marge; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; a great great  nephew; and his companion cats, Ambria and Buddy.

In addition to his beloved and cherished parents, Henry Daniel and Frances Rose DeBrosky Cragan, he was also preceded in death by sister, Mary Ann Maines (Joseph) and sister-in-law Marianne Cragan (William).

In keeping with Henry’s request, his visitation and funeral will be private. For those who may want to remember Henry, it would be appreciated if donations were made in his memory to the Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Road, Kingston, NY 12401
