Maryellen Markle Obituary

Maryellen Markle, formerly of Hurley, NY, passed away at the age of 97 on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehabilition Center in Kingston. Maryellen was born in Lexington, NY, one of four children of the late Omar and Eva Mead. She was a member of the Old Dutch Church and it’s Womens Ministries and Kingston Community Singers. Prior to retirement she was employed in sales at Montgomery Ward. Maryellen is survived by a daughter, Linda Boice and her husband Florie of Hurley; Granddaughters, Christina Osterhoudt and her husband Robert, Jr. and Kimberly Boice; Great Grandson, Riggs Osterhoudt; sisters, Shirley Mead of Hurley and Dorothea Clearwater of Kingston; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Markle, their son, David Allen Markle, and her brother Franklin Mead. A Graveside service will be held at Wiltwyck Cemetery on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Dr. Renee House, Pastor of the Old Dutch Church officiating. Arrangement under the direction of the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY.
