Obituary of Peter J. Clark

Peter J. Clark, 71, a lifelong resident of Kingston passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus in Kingston, NY.

Son of the late Marjorie Ahl Clark and Joseph Clark, Peter was a graduate of St. Peter’s Catholic School in Kingston and St. Patrick’s Catholic High School in Catskill.  Prior to retirement he was employed by Ulster Savings Bank then was an administrative assistant at St. James United Methodist Church where he organized their food pantry. He was a fan of the United States Military Academy Football Team and the New York Yankees.

Peter is survived by several cousins.  He was mentored by his cousin, Joseph Styles, from age 8 until Peter was in his fifties. He is also survived by special friends, Elaine Shapiro and Eleanora Kniskern.

Reverend Robert Milson, Pastor of the St. James United Methodist Church, and its members will hold a memorial service at the church (35 Pearl Street, Kingston, NY) on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 am.

A graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Robert Milsom, Pastor of the Fair Street United Methodist Church, at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Pine Grove and Mary’s Avenues, in Kingston, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:00 am.
