Obituary of Margaret R. Gallagher

Margaret Rosaline Gallagher, 79, of Hooker Street passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus surrounded by her loving family. Margie, one of four daughters born to the late Frederick and Margaret (Sickler) Rice, was born in Kingston on March 24, 1936. Prior to retirement she was a secretary in the Kingston Consolidated School District. She enjoyed boating, dancing, bowling and was a member of the KWBA. On July 22, 1956 Margie married Thomas J. Gallagher at St. Mary's Church. In addition to her husband of 59 years, Margie is survived by a daughter, Shirley Galm and her husband Val of Kingston; sons, Daniel A. Gallagher, Sr. and his wife Tama of Kingston and Allan P. Gallagher and his companion David Gurga of Fonda, NY; sisters, Selina Rothe of Saugerties, Freddie Joan Bell and her husband Richard of Kingston and Florence Kelder of Kingston; grandchildren, Daniel A. Gallagher, Jr., Lauren Parrish, Jared Galm, Dylan Galm and Samantha Ward; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Funeral procession will form 9:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home thence proceed to St. Mary's Church where at 10:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. ced
