Stella Schrowang, 97, of Kingston, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born in Kingston to the late Joseph and Agnes Gregory and was a beloved sister to brother Rafael (George) Gregory (deceased), Clarence (Greg) Gregory, Joseph Gregory, and sisters (deceased) Jane (Scott), Virginia (Cadden), Rose (Woods), and Theresa Gregory. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Stella was an active lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church in Kingston. She graduated from Kingston High School, was a talented seamstress working for several garment brands in Kingston and a food preparer for many years at the Capri restaurant. Stella was talented in ceramic glazing, was an avid gardener with a great love for flowers, and loved animals with a special place in her heart for her German Shepherd of earlier years, Becky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Friday (September 10, 2021), at 11:00 am, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kingston. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
