Obituary of George F. Sesselmann

George F. Sesselmann, 71, of St. James St., Kingston, NY passed away at his residence, Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born January 22, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late George F. and Anna (Murtagh) Sesselmann. Our father was a very smart and intelligent man who lived an amazing and first rate life. Having graduated from LaGuardia College in Queens, NY and Parks College in St. Louis, MO with a degree in aerospace engineering he worked with such aircraft giants like Grumman in LI, NY and McDonnell Douglas in MO. He was an accomplished pilot having flown single engine aircraft. We think his greatest achievement was working on the Apollo II that sent the first men to the moon. Having once said "My fingerprints are on the moon." He then landed a job in NYC having worked for Verizon at 104 Broad St. in lower Manhattan until retirement in 1992. We still miss the Christmas Eve tradition and days our father took us to his job in Manhattan to visit his office building. His wife of 32 years, our mother, MaryAnn M. (Krajewski) Sesselmann passed away October 1, 2006. They are now together again...forever. Our father is finally at peace both physically and mentally having courageously battled his illness which did not stop him from taking his daily walks. He is also meeting his father for the very first time in Heaven as his father passed away fighting for our country in WW II and is buried in Florence, Italy. George is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. (Richard) Armstrong, a son, George F. Sesselmann, Jr. and, a grandson, Ryan Armstrong all of Kingston; a cousin, John Murphy of Lecanto, FL.; nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston NY. Funeral procession will form 9:15 am Monday at the funeral home thence proceed to St. Joseph's Church where at 10:00 a Mass of Christian burial will be offered. Burial to follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
