Obituary of Suzanne Styles Terpening

Suzanne "Suzy" Terpening, 82 years old, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville, NY, after battling a long illness. She was a devoted animal lover who rescued and raised many animals, both wild and domesticated. Suzy was a sun and ocean lover, spending many hours on the beach. She spent the last ten years of her life in Florida, enjoying the sun and beach, which gave her so much pleasure. She made many new friends there who helped with her care, especially Cissy and Beth. Suzy recently needed to be moved back to her native New York to be near family before passing. Suzy was predeceased by her twin sister, JoAnn Hornbeck and her sister, Cindy Johansen. She was also predeceased by her husband, Leslie (Terp/Skip) Terpening. She will be missed by friends and relatives alike. Suzy is survived by her two brothers, Robert Styles and Richard Styles; nephews, William Hornbeck, David Hornbeck, Robert Styles, Jr, Dennis Styles and Bobby Johansen; nieces, Shannon Kassier, Robin and Gina. Funeral arrangement are under the directions of the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY.
