Obituary of Barbara A. Kearney

Barbara A. Kearney, 80, of Orchard Street, Kingston, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Averill Park, NY. Born in Kingston, September 29. 1934, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Keating) Beyersdorfer. Until her retirement, Barbara was a librarian aide in the Kingston Consolidated School District. Survivors include daughters, Patricia Johnston and her husband Stanley of Averill Park, NY, Susan DeCicco of Saugerties, NY and Linda Kearney of Averill Park, NY; a son, Gerard J. Kearney, Jr of Kingston; grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew DeCicco and Shannon Kearney-Gunsett and her husband Philip; nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Gerard J. Kearney, Sr. on April 24, 1990. Two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Funeral procession will form 10:15 am thence proceed to St. Mary's Church where at 11:00am a Mass of Christian Burial will be sung. Burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers it is suggested donations in Barbara's memory be made to Hospice of Rensselaer County.
