Obituary of Erwin Gutkin

Erwin Gutkin, 86, of Kerhonkson, NY passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn in November of 1928 to the late Hyman and Yetta Gutkin. Erwin served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans,the Kerhonkson Synagogue ,past chairman of the board of the Kerhonkson Fire District and the first member of the Town of Wawarsing planning board. He worked for Channel Master in Ellenville for 15 years prior to working for VAW. Erwin is survived by his children, Steven J. Gukin, Roobert Gutkin, Julie Gutkin-Champpux and Karen Sue Gutkin: a sister, Laura Bryan; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Gutkin. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Sunday at the Kerhonkson Accord Jewish Cemetery on Boice Mill Road, Kerhonkson, NY.
