Edwin R. French, 70, of Phoenicia, NY, a former advertising executive in New York City died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation in Kingston. Mr. French is a former Vice President of Marsteller, Inc. He started his own advertising agency, French, Blitzer, Scott LLC and retired in 2001. He served his country as an officer with the 38th Infantry Division with the Atomic Energy Commission with responsibilities in the health and safety aspects of testing operations in the South Pacific. Mr. French grew up in Millinocket, Maine and was a graduate of Bowdoin Colege and attended the Graduate School of Pharmacology at the University of Rochester. Survivors include sons, Christopher and Adam, three grandchildren and a brother Peter. A Memorial service is planned for a later date.
