Victor Sabatino Obituary

Victor T. Sabatino, 86, of Ulster Park, NY who proudly served his country during the Korean War passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus in Kingston. Born in the Bronx, January 6, 1929 he was a son of the late Albert & Fay (Verlezza) Sabatino. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lorri F. Sabatino, who died June 7, 1979, his wife, the former Irene Tolke, who died February 16, 1978, brother Ernie and sisters Mary Ann Mosca and Joyce Columbo. Vic worked 36 1/2 years as a lineman for Central Hudson, 6 1/2 years for Ulster Co. Mental Health and 12 years before retiring from ARC. Survivors include daughters, Victoria Sabatino & Gail Green both of Ulster Park; son, Mark Sabatino and his wife Debbie of Bloomington; step-daughter, Carol Richter of Kingston; son-in-law, Alan Green of Troy; grandchildren, Sherry Colombo, Mark & Jenna Sabatino, Stefanie & Dylan Green, Stevie & Angelo Richter; sisters, Terry Sabatino & Christine Verlezza; nieces & nephews; and his most cherished and most loved friendship with the Bruderhoff Community. A very special thanks to special friends Tom & Lena Decker & children. The family will receive friends & relatives 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Funeral procession will form 9:00 am Thursday at the funeral; home thence proceed to the Sacred Heart Church, Rt 9-W, Esopus where at 10:00 am a Mass of Christian burial will be sung. Burial to follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery with full Military Honors by Joyce Schirick VFW Post #1386 Color Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Dr., New Windsor, NY 12553 would be appreciated.
