Bertha Schupp, 91, of Kingston, our beloved aunt passed peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was born, September 5, 1924. Bertha was predeceased by her parents Leo J Schupp and Anna Petersen Schupp, and two brothers, Leo and Edward. She resided in her family homestead until her death. Although she never married, she was always close to her brother Leo and his wife Josephine Quarantino and their children Joanne, Leo and Michael as well as her brother Edward J Schupp and his wife Joan Schultz and their children Anna Mary, Edward and Martin. Bertha also loved and cared for her many great nieces and nephews. Bertha attended Saint Peter’s School and had been active in the parish for many years. She graduated from Kingston High School and went on to work as a seamstress in the area’s garment industry until her retirement and was a proud member of the ILGWU. She had a fond love of animals and was an avid gardener. She was a very loving and caring person and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her last years were spent at home in the loving care of her niece Joanne and her health aides Julia, Sharon and Junie. Friends and family will be received from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15 at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter’s R.C. Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16. Burial to follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery.
