Obituary of Elizabeth A. Egan

Elizabeth A. Egan, 93, formerly of Kingston NY passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at TimberRidge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, FL. Born in Yonkers, NY on February 23, 1923, she was one of three daughters born to the late William and Edna (Eller) Bonesteel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank X. Egan and a sister, Janet A. Miller. Betty was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and a former member of St. Joseph’s Church in Kingston. She had worked as a proof reader for the NY City Water Department. Betty is survived by her son, Frank X. Egan Jr. and his wife Philipa of Ocala; granddaughter, Tara Bogorad and her husband Ilya Bogorad, MD of Newburyport, MA; great grandchildren, Lucas Ludlow Bogorad and William Aaron Bogorad; sister, Barbara A. Johnson of Pompano Beach, FL; sisters-in law, Clare and Joan Egan of Kingston; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung at St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
