Dad not a day goes by that I wish you were still here with me ...You where an amazing Dad, I remember all the fishing trips we went on and you never got to fish because we were to busy feeding the fish all the worms , storytown, catkill game farm , swimming at taconic but stopping to get KfC for lunch ...a lot of great memories Rutie , You and I on the boat and she had to have hooked a sturgoen because you couldn't even get him to the surface , but we had a great day as always ......I Love you always Dad xoxo

All of our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of our good friend Walter. We were so sorry to have missed Ruth's funeral and now to hear of Walter's passing brings such sadness, but great memories. When we were with the Kingston Maennerchor and Damenchor as director and singer, Delphine and I loved talking with both Walter and Ruth. They were both great to our kids and acted like a third set of grandparents to them. I can never forget the look that Walter would give me if I asked him to sing something too high or differently than they way he wanted to sing it - I always knew to just let it go. Walter was a great friend and was always there with an encouraging word in the years I led the choir. Delphine and I will miss him very much. God bless Walter and all his friends and family.

While we lived in Slightsburg, we always shopped at the store. Walter was so kind to me,especially when i was pregnant and craved my chocolate covered cherries. Stopped by often for them two in a pack Rregrets on this loss for the family.

Walter married my Mom, Barbara, back in 1984. He treated Mom's kids as if they were his own and often introduced me as his son from San Diego. We became closer over the years as Mom's health declined and he cared for her until her death in 1996. I kept in touch with Walter and called him Dad when ever we spoke. When I traveled back east I always made a point of visiting Dad. We hit all of his favorite dining spots and checked on the levels of the reservoirs with him. Ten years ago he and Ruth drove across country to attend my daughters wedding in Napa. Of course Ruth had to make a pot of her famous spaghetti sauce for all to enjoy. Nick still raves about it today. My wife, Mary, could always count his sound on advice about cooking that prime rib for Christmas. Dad was the finest man I have ever known. He was kind, gentle, loving, warm and I never heard him say bad thing about anyone. My family and I will miss him terribly. There is and will be a void forever in our lives. God Bless you Dad, Rest in Peace.
