Obituary of Stephen Francis Celuch

Stephen Francis Celuch, age 75, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died suddenly Friday, March 1, 2024 as the result of an automobile accident in the town of Marlborough. He was born on August 30,1948, to Francis J. (Andy) and Wanda M. Kawecki Celuch. Steve was employed for several years at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting, and also briefly competed in local races as a wheelchair participant. More recently, Steve enjoyed travel, swap meets and the local Hudson Valley music scene. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph J. Celuch. Steve is survived by his sisters, Barbara J. Celuch of Red Hook, NY; Christine A. Perry and her husband, Jeffrey of Hurley, NY; Laurie A. McEnery and her husband Donald of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Timothy A. Celuch of Eddyville, NY; aunt, Ruth Celuch of Kingston, NY; nephews James Michaelides, Evan and Julian Perry, and Jack and Elias Celuch; nieces Stephanie Jocelyn and her husband Michael, and Grace Celuch and her husband Cody, and numerous cousins and friends. Steve leaves behind a legacy filled with positivity, kindness, generosity and love. He will surely be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kingston. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to their preferred charity.
