Mary Elizabeth was twice my student (7th and 10th) and I still have the gift she gave me on my desk! She later became baby sitter to my kids… and then their boss at the pool. It is no exaggeration to speak of the shining light she was!! The kindest heart and the brightest smile. This is truly an incredibly large loss for the Kingston school district and the larger Kingston community. Brian, Hannah, Elijah, Josh, and I mourn with you and will be holding you all in our prayers.

I have fond memories of Maryelizabeth. We worked together for many years at JWB. She always called me Mrs. T. She would bring sweet treats up to the main office or she’d send her students. She was an excellent teacher and very kind to her students. She will be missed. My condolences to the Polacco family.

Maryelizabeth was a genuine person who told it how it was and had a great sense of humor. I'm happy to have met her through the Junior League and have many nice memories of her. I'm so sad she is no longer here, but know she is with her mom again. My thoughts are with her family and friends she left behind and who will miss her terribly.

My heart goes out to Jimmy, Katie and the entire Polacco and Hamilton families. Maryelizabeth was one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She had an unmatched love for her family, friends and all of the fur babies she had taken care of. She touched many lives young and old alike. She had accomplished so many things in her short time on earth. I will miss her infectious smile and her willingness to always help. The world definitely has gotten a bit dimmer for all who knew her.
God Bless,
Steve Williams

I did not directly know Maryelizabeth, but because she was such a close friend of Amy and Juli Colotti, I have seen many photos and Facebook posts that have included her in the past few years. It is shocking to learn that she has passed away, but it is clear that she truly lived her life with fun and friendship right up to the end. It is also clear that she was truly loved and respected as both a teacher and a friend. Maryelizabeth, your life was way too short, but congratulations on a well lived one. Enjoy Heaven. You are and will continue to be missed.
Sincerely,
Pat Kelly
