Obituary of MaryAnn Bruck

MaryAnn Bruck, 73, of West Hurley, NY passed away peacefully with family by her side Easter Sunday. March 27, 2016 at Woodland Ponds at New Paltz, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 13, 1942 to the late Joseph and Ann (Blumke) DeBernardo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Christopher J. DeBernardo who died October 23, 2014. MaryAnn was retired from the Onteora School District after a 33 year teaching career at the High School. She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Bruck; son, David Hall of Newnan, Ga: daughter, Bonnie Jarman of Saugerties; step-daughters, Terri Voigtlaender (James) of Kingston, Pamela Augustine of Kingston and Beth Nowik (Adam) of Poughkeepsie; siblings, Joseph (Josephine) DeBernardo of Centereach, NY, JoAnn (Billy) Blake of Fayetteville, GA. and Richard (Christine) DeBernardo of Center Moriches, NY; a sister-in-law, Marilyn DeBernardo of Clifton Park, NY; grandsons,Jamie and Anthony Jarman; step-grandchildren, Scott & Meaghan Holmes, Leah Hall, Rory Nowik, Kaylee, Kara & Kyle Augustine; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Thursday 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Funeral procession will form 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home thence proceed to St. Joseph’s Church, Wall Street, Kingston where at 1:00 pm a Mass of Christian Burial will be sung. Burial to follow in the Hurley Cemetery.
